Love INC of South Albuquerque has been approved as an affiliate of Love INC headquartered in Minneapolis. We are now part of an organization that was founded in 1977 and operates in over 130 cities in the US.

 

Our mission is to mobilize the Church to transform lives and communities In the Name of Christ. It is our goal to bring to Albuquerque a proven strategy to help churches help their neighbors in need.

 

Love INC is a network of churches that links volunteers to people in need. It is a cooperative effort between churches and service agencies to provide effective help for the disadvantaged. It is also a vehicle that helps churches, collectively and individually, fulfill their biblical mandate to reach out to the poor and needy.

 

Our first commitment as an affiliate is to develop and operate a Clearinghouse. This is a fully staffed phone center that receives requests for help from various referring agencies and churches, screens the request for extent of need and legitimacy, and refers the request to a local church ministry, a church volunteer, or a community agency. Love INC follows up to ensure the need was met and to offer spiritual support.

 

Churches will benefit from partnering with us because we will help them organize their congregation to serve people in need by offering specific, manageable opportunities.

 

Community agencies will benefit from Love INC's ability to mobilize human and ministry resources to supplement agency efforts.
